Love-Hate Relationship Books You’ll Both Love And Hate

Lifestyle

I’m a sucker for love-hate relationship stories, and if you enjoy the back and forth banter as much as I do, you may enjoy the five books I’ve listed below.

These books range anywhere from contemporary to fantasy, so let’s dive in:

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

The love-hate relationship between fairy prince Cardan and mortal Jude is certainly interesting to read about, and the dynamics of their relationship get more and more exciting with every book in the series.

You’ll like this if: you enjoy faries, badass heroines, fantasy and plot twists.

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles

This one’s on my to-read list, but I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. The romance sounds really cute but it also sounds like a fantastic read with deeper moral elements.

You’ll like this if: you’re looking for West Side Story meets Pretty In Pink.

Stuck On Vacation With Ryan Rupert by P. S. Malcolm

This is my book, but it’s perfect if you enjoy witty banter and cute romance. There are inside jokes, plenty of adventures, and an exciting plot twist to keep you on your toes.

You’ll like this if: you’re looking for a love-hate relationship story not set in a typical high school setting or workplace.

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This story is definitely interesting in a sense that it’s paranormal (well, it has aliens but I wouldn’t call this one sci-fi). If you’re looking for something that goes against current trends and hype, this one is for you.

You’ll like this if: you like aliens, cute romance and banter.

Playing For Keeps by R. L. Mathewson

This contempory is more fun, silly and sexy, which is perfect if you’re in the mood for something less serious. I put emphasis on silly though–the story is nonsense, though the characters make up for it.

You’ll like this if: you’re looking for a fun, easy read.
